  • Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger

    [Currently Airing, Spring 2024 through spring 2025, Toei Co., Ltd, Japan]

    On the day of her forced marriage, Mira Shifuto finds herself instead being abducted at the altar by a handsome man in red with a cool high-tech convertible. He explains that he is Taiya Hando, a high-stakes delivery driver, and Mira’s boyfriend has hired him to rescue her. Mira's erstwhile groom and his associates are destroyed while chasing them when the Great Space Invasion Running Team Hashiriyan, an interplanetary mafia, arrives to conquer Earth. Inspired by Taiya’s defense of her as Bun Red, Mira asks to join him as part of his team of delivery specialists, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger.

    In a town called Hoshimoto City…

    A giant object towers in Mt. Shishio. Named “Monohorn”, it is actually a kaiju’s horn stuck in the ground since an incident 16 years ago.

    When the mystic light emerging from Yuma’s hand embodies his entire body, his power of imagination fuses him with the light and he transforms into Ultraman Arc, the Giant of Light who protects the future! Alongside his precious friends, Yuma, as well as Ultraman Arc, gallops towards his everlasting dream!

  • Schoolgirl vs. Ultraman: Hollyhock

    Announced at Tsuburaya Convention 2023. An entirely new human drama with a female protagonist, based on the New Generation Ultraman setting.

  • Monarch: Legacy of Monsters - Season 2

    Announced April 11th, 2024 by Variety. Filming began in August of 2024 in Australia. The second season of ”Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” is executive produced by Chris Black, along with Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures. Matt Shakman, Andy Colville and Jen Roskind also serve as executive producers. Matsuoka Hiro and Arita Takemasa executive produce on behalf of Japan’s Toho Co., Ltd., owner of the Godzilla character. Toho licensed the rights to Legendary for ”Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” following the two companies’ long-term film franchise relationship.

  • Kaiju No. 08 - Season 2

    Announced August 2024. The new season will likely pick up on “The Compatible User Arc” from the manga, where protagonist Kafka Hibino will work relentlessly to prove his worth to stay within the Defense Force. The teaser video also reveals a Koki Uchiyama as a new voice cast, who will be portraying Gen Narumi, captain of the First Division Defense Force,  in the upcoming season.

  • Kaiju no Sumika

    CONFIRMED

    [Pre-Production, UNKNOWN, Tsuburaya Productions, Japan]

    "Kaiju No Sumika" is a grand drama with a "Kaiju" as the main character. The story is co-developed by writer Yoichi Komori.

  • Darkness Heels

    CONFIRMED

    [Pre-Production, UNKNOWN, Tsuburaya Productions, Japan]

    Announced at Tsuburaya Convention 2023. The Darkness Heels project will be an anime that highlights the dark heroes of the Ultraman franchise such as Ultraman Belial, Dark Zagi, Evil Tiga, Camearra, and Jugglus Juggler.

  • Untitled 2025 Ultraman Series

    Announced at Tsuburaya Convention in 2022, a series is planned for 2025-2026.

  • Untitled 2026 Ultraman Series

  • Cryptozoology (Monarch Spin-Off)

    When season two of Monarch was announced, it was announced with "various spin-offs" in development too. A copyright registration for "Cryptozoology" was discovered with Legendary Pictures attached. A recent news story revealed that Apple TV+ is cancelling various in-development projects for their service due to losing more money than making off of the service. It is unknown if "Cryptozoology" or the other unannounced projects related to the MonsterVerse are impacted by these business decisions.

  • Various Monarch Spin-Offs

    When season two of Monarch was announced, it was announced with "various spin-offs" in development too. A recent news story revealed that Apple TV+ is cancelling various in-development projects for their service due to losing more money than making off of the service. It is unknown the unannounced projects related to the MonsterVerse are impacted by these business decisions.

  • Project Nemesis

    [Pre-Production, UNKNOWN, Sony TV, USA]

    Sony TV announced in May of 2022 that they were developing an adaptation of the book "Project Nemesis" by Jeremy Robinson. Neal H. Moritz’s Original Film (The Boys), with John Wick helmer Chad Stahelski set to direct and executive produce. Original Film’s Moritz, Toby Jaffe and Pavun Shetty will executive produce, along with Stahelski and Jason Spitz. Sony TV is the studio.

  • Pacific Rim TV Series

    CONFIRMED

    [Development, UNKNOWN, Legendary Pictures, USA]

    In August 2024, it was announced that Legendary had entered into a deal with Eric Heisserer for television. Under the deal, Heisserer and Carmen Lewis — with whom Heisserer founded the production company Chronology — will develop and shepherd IP-driven and related projects for Legendary. The first project to be developed under the deal will be a “Pacific Rim” origin story series.

  • Untitled 2027 Ultraman Series

    Announced at Tsuburaya Convention in 2022, a series is planned for 2027-2028.

  • King Kong (Disney+ Series)

    [Development, UNKNOWN, Disney Studios, USA]

    Announced August 2022. James Wan's Atomic Monster is set to produce the show, written by Paper Girls creator Stephany Folsom, King Kong is a serialized action-adventure drama that brings the classic monster story into the modern age, with a return to Skull Island and the dawn of a new Kong. The series will explore the mythology of King Kong’s origin story and the supernatural mysteries of his home based on IP from Merian C. Cooper’s original books and the new King Kong novelizations by Joe DeVito.

  • Godzilla: Singular Point - Season 2

    UNCONFIRMED

    [Development, UNKNOWN, Toho Animation, Japan]

    When an X user asked EnJoe on the platform if a season two was happening, he alluded to the fact that contracts exist. Nothing has been announced, or elaborated on since.

    It is unlikely that anything will come of this.

  • Gamera: Rebirth - Season 2

    UNCONFIRMED

    [Development, UNKNOWN, Kadokawa Corporation, Japan]

    Hiroyuki Seshita said in an interview for the press tour of "Gamera: Rebirth" that they planned on producing a second season of the show if it did well. As numbers have been released by Netflix since then, the show bombed.

    It is unlikely anything will come of this.

  • Gamera (Live Action Series)

    [Development, UNKNOWN, Kadokawa Corporation, Japan]

    Hiroyuki Seshita said in an interview for the press tour of "Gamera: Rebirth" that Kadokawa had planned on producing a live-action Gamera series if "Gamera: Rebirth" did well. It is not known whether this was just said to push for higher viewership on "Gamera: Rebirth" or if it was seriously considered. As numbers have been released by Netflix since then, the show bombed.
